The tapped hole into which the FILTEC-G threaded insert is to be inserted is tapped with the special FILTEC-Gtap. This tap can be used manually or with a power tool. Selection of the tap: depends on the type of metal to be drilled, the pitch, and whether the hole is a through hole or a blind hole.
Tap with straight teeth:
1 1st tap: Finish tap with lead taper (through hole) or finish tap without lead taper (blind hole)
for metal strength < 80 kg up to pitch 200 included
2 tap: First tap with lead taper + finish tap without lead taper
for metals of strength > 80 kg and pitch more than 200
