The LOCKFIL is a threaded insert with one or more polygonal coils that prevent the connection from loosening by exerting pressure on the flanks of the screw.
The LOCKFIL was developed specifically for demanding applications (shaking, impacts, etc.). This self-locking is efficient and replaces all other devices to an advantage (retaining washers, split pins, lock nuts, self-locking nuts...). At the same torque as the other systems, the LOCKFIL-Einsert has the advantage that it does not require additional space.
The LOCKFIL-Gthreaded insert has the same mechanical properties as the FILTEC-Gthreaded insert. The assembly is done in the same way as for the normal threaded inserts with the same insertion tools. To avoid any possible confusion with normal threaded inserts, the LOCKFIL-Einsert is distinguished by its red color.
The LOCKFIL-Gthreaded insert is available in the same sizes as the FILTEC-Gthreaded insert (metric, UNC-UNF), but the shortest length is 1 x d. |
